Our Lodges:  Each of our lodges is completely private and very "family friendly".  They are fully equipped for living and cooking, if that is desired.  Television, coffee pot, electric skillet, crock-pot and all linens are furnished.  Camp is located down a dead end farm road and is isolated from our commercial hunting areas.  Bordering the English River and setting on a 200 acre "nature-rich" farm presents the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy your time away from your daily routine.

 

When you purchase one or more nights of lodging in our Family Camp, you gain the whole experience that is provided for you.  Here is a sampling of the activities:

        -Hiking

        -Biking

        -Fishing in well stocked farm ponds (no license needed)

        -Large, beautiful wildlife-rich area for running and exercising dogs

        -Bring-your-own yard games

        -Wildlife observation

        -Trap shooting practice and competition (use our facilities, do-it-yourself)

        -Hay loft, barn basketball and volleyball

        -Tractor and hayrack rides (advance schedule needed please)

        -Other activities involving your choice of nature's presentation

 

Family reunions, vacations and retreats:  (May through August).  A more natural and completely relaxing location cannot be found for Summer months scheduling.  Group size may vary, but up to 30 persons can be accommodated at one time.  The Safari Iowa Hunting Farms Clubhouse, located on another Safari Iowa farm, may be utilized  when the group wishes to meet together.   A "fire ring" makes a great place for evening bonfires, singing and fellowship.  (As need be, some activities may be carried out on other Safari Iowa farms, such as fishing and trap shooting).

 

Hunters and hunt-related groups:  (September through March).  During the hunting season hunters will want to use our Camp for their lodging.  Breakfast is included with each day's hunting.  Hunting guests will enjoy the hiking and dog exercise area, and observing all wildlife and presentations of nature.   Trap shooting activities are popular additions to the hunting trips as well as fishing the stocked farm ponds.   (No fishing license is required)

 

Costs:

Family reunions, vacations and retreats:   Individual rental rates will be negotiated, depending

 on the number of lodges being used, number of days needed and the specific                            accommodations desired.  Costs will be kept affordable.

Hunters and hunt-related groups:   $65 per guest, per day will include breakfast,

  dog accommodations, gamebird processing room and 100% of all Camp facilities.

 ****(It is way more inclusive than a hotel/motel room).
