OPTIONAL HUNTING TRIPS

A) Buddy System Half-day Hunt Pricing. (It's easy.The more friends or hunting buddies you have in your hunting party, the less the hunt cost for each hunter) 

Hunters in party  Limits for each half-day hunt: Cost per hunter 
1 3 pheasant or 5 Chukar or 8 quail   $139, plus tax
2 6 pheasant or 10 Chukar or 16 quail  $129, plus tax
3 9 pheasant or 15 Chukar or 24 quail $119, plus tax
4 12 pheasant or 20 Chukar or 32 quail    $109, plus tax

For larger numbers of hunters, or a series of multiple hunts for the season, a special, customized, contract price may be agreed to reflecting the nature of the hunt being  requested and the hunt services which are required for the hunt.

 Please note:  For safety reasons, a maximum of four hunters is normally allowed in a single hunting party.

***All hunts are self-guided, with hunters using their own dogs.

*** "Mixed bag" hunts may be scheduled using the above numbers of birds released in determining a pro-rated number of each species to be hunted.

 

B)  Full day, GRAND SLAM hunt:  (use of own dogs)

The daily limit for this hunt is a maximum of four pheasant and all the quail and partridge you can get.
Hunters frequently harvest 8-12 game birds, each hunter, for a full day's hunt, maybe more. (Iowa's best hunt value).
$295 each hunter

 

C)  Sportsman Econo Pheasant/Quail hunt (full day) (Use of own dogs)

  • 3 pheasant daily limit or 8 quail= $215

  • 6 pheasant daily limit or 16 quail= $275

D)  Deluxe Safari Plan (full day) (Use of Safari Iowa guide and dogs)

 This hunt is "built" utilizing the 6 pheasant limits or 16 quail limits, and adds many of the optional features listed below: E)  Optional Add-ons:  1) Overnight lodging and breakfast, including full use of hunters camp and any necessary kennels and dog exercise land, plus gamebird processing facilities: $65 each hunter, each day.

  • 2)  Half day hunt guide and suitable dogs:  $125 for  total hunting party up to four hunters
  • 3)  Full day hunt guide and suitable dogs:  $230 for total hunting party up to four hunters
  • 4)  Rental of hunting dog:  $65 each dog, each half day
  • 5)  Hunting license, including habitat stamp:  $25
  • 6)  Processing/bagging/freezing harvested gamebirds:  $35 per hunter, per full day hunt
  • 7)  ATV for assistance in hunting field:  NO CHARGE.   Advance requests preferred
  • 8)  Stocked, farm pond fishing:  $35 each person for two or more hours (no license needed)

**Required State Sales/Use Tax and Hotel-Motel Taxes are added to all charges  ***NOTICE:  SAFARI IOWA HUNTING FARMS WILL GLADLY DISCUSS "LARGE GROUP" TRIP CONTRACTS, IF REQUESTED.

Interstate I-80 to Exit 220 25 miles west of Iowa City.
Go south 7 miles on Highway 149 to Parnell.
Go 1 mile west of Parnell to "O" Avenue.
Turn left on "O" Avenue and go 1 mile to our sign.
Be sure to notify us of your expected arrival time. Normal check-in is between 4- 6 p.m.

We now accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards for payment.

They may be used for paying the 25% deposit and for paying the balance of your hunt charges, due upon arrival.
